Step-by-Step Guide for a Remote Modeling Agency Audition
Preparing for a remote modeling audition requires professionalism, preparation, and confidence. Follow these steps to make a strong impression:
Research the Agency
PMTM is a commercial agency that represents commercial models nationwide, and places high-fashion models worldwide. Understand the agency's style and the type of models they represent. Check out their website and social media to see the type of work that they do and the models/actors they represent.
Review the Audition Requirements
You will need to fill put a PMTM audition form - all done online. PMTM likes to see at least two pictures of you - one of your face and one full body, you can attach these to the application.
Practice Your Walk & Photo Movement
PMTM may want to see your photo movement skills during your Zoom audition. Practice in front of a mirror and on camera to perfect your posture, expressions, and confidence. Please note you only want to do this if you have experience. If this is your first audition, we will be looking at you for confidence and how you carry yourself.
Set Up a Professional Audition Space
Choose a well-lit area with a clean background. Use a stable camera setup (tripod or steady surface). Ensure minimal background noise for clear audio.
Dress Appropriately
PMTM prefers simple styles. Stick to agency recommendations—usually a clean, natural look with simple clothing. Avoid heavy makeup and distracting accessories.
Test Your Equipment
Check your internet connection, camera, and microphone in advance. If live, test the video call platform to avoid technical issues. This is for someone who has experience and has the proper set up. If this is your first audition the key is too look good, have a quiet place to audition and great lighting.
Be Confident & Engaging
Maintain good posture and make eye contact with the camera. Smile naturally and speak clearly. Show your personality while remaining professional. PMTM bases so much on personality and confidence.
Prepare for a Follow-Up
If selected, be ready for potential callbacks or interviews. Stay responsive to emails and messages from the agency.
